- The title of this episode comes from the English idiom "all bark and no bite", meaning that one is verbally aggressive (bark), but not physically or willing to be physically aggressive (bite). It can also mean that one acts tough while having a kinder personality otherwise. Both definitions can be used to describe Bart and Tony, while the latter can be used to describe Patches in this episode.
