Sparky is one of Strudel's squirrel assistants at Shelter 17, and one of her closest companions, after Mr. Nut Nut. He does most of the dangerous work and is often on the receiving end of many slapstick gags, usually with Mr. Nut Nut. He believes he can take it. A flashback in "The Call of the Squirreldog" reveals that Sparky gained his name (and burnt tail) after being struck by lightning.
