Lucky's habit of following instinct over rules lands him in front of a Pound Puppy tribunal that could mean the end of Shelter 17 if he is found guilty.

Errors

• Possible Continuity Error: Flashbacks are shown of Lucky's first puppy-placing case in which Dolly is giving Lucky instructions. However, in "The General", Lucky and Delorse are shown meeting for the first time, with Lucky unaware that she was the General. In addition, in one of this episode's flashbacks Lucky has an encounter with Dash Whippet, although in "Barlow" Lucky and Dash are shown meeting presumably for the first time. It is possible that Lucky and Dolly simply did not remember meeting when they were young. It is also possible that Lucky did not know that he was in Dash's presence, as Dash did not identify himself to Lucky in the flashback.

Allusions

• The title of this episode is a spoof of the 80s show "The Couple's Court".
• It is also the first time that Dot enters the Pound Puppy HQ.
